No, it’s 11cm.Is this the 9cm?
The extractor on the tools instead of the bolster makes the knife look so much better, but for it to be useful it seems you would want to leave it open in your pocket. I am imagining trying to cradle your shotgun while using both hands to open the knife. Maybe not too bad, but extra steps. Not that anybody actually needs such tools anymore, I suppose, unless something gets jammed, maybe?I love to revive old thread, especially since I did not know where post this picture, inspired by @waynorth's cartridge ejector elsewere.
Florinox hunting knife made in the 70s with ejectors in the beer opener/screwdriver and a halved one in the can opener.
Corks were painstakingly gathered by Your's truly !

I'm no hunter but I guess these are "in case". From my point of view the corkscrew is much more useful !The extractor on the tools instead of the bolster makes the knife look so much better, but for it to be useful it seems you would want to leave it open in your pocket. Here is Fontenille Pataud's le 5 Coqs, which resembles a rooster.

Lol, thanks!! This is the result of several years of accumulating..... When GEC became difficult, I had to set my sights on something else! That stag 5coqs is real nice. The others ain't bad either. Lol
Thank you! It is a handful.... Fairly light pull but with a hard snap on open, almost like a cross between a lock back and slip joint. That Fuji design is incredible. Great picture and a beautiful knife.
Good choices too. As much as I like and appreciate GEC the only way I see myself buying their knives again is if a particular pattern falls my way. I'm done chasing them and/or paying the ever increasing prices... When GEC became difficult, I had to set my sights on something else!
Thanks Alan! I'm right there with you in regards to GEC. The beauty of collecting French knives is that the excitement is still there, trying to find the one that fits the exact desired parameters! When and IF you find it, generally you can hem and haw over it for a while as well!Good choices too. As much as I like and appreciate GEC the only way I see myself buying their knives again is if a particular pattern falls my way. I'm done chasing them and/or paying the ever increasing prices.
