Upon further review, I also do not see a problem! My apologies to chchin2:thumbsup: I could ask the question if both you and your son had scored a knife, what would you have done, but that's is none of my business or anybody else's! The present Friday sales are as fair as Nathan can make them:thumbsup:If you happen to have this posting down pat (as many do) your going to be able to get every knife you want! It is what it is, as stated above I will just continue to purchase Nathan's work via Pre-orders- and the secondary market!. Do I like it? Hell No, do I accept it as the fairest way to ensure everybody has a chance to purchase a knife-Yup ;)Cheers

Yep! I got a fair chance at a BC soon, and I really really want to try this knife out!

No apologies needed. Somebody told you they saw smoke and you thought fire, that's just human nature. Honestly, I wasn't even going to reply to any of this. Then I realized that I just got trolled (inadvertently I hope). Basically the mod saw that I got first twice, was compelled to investigate, saw that two users logged in from under the same roof and yelled smoke. I would think that two people sharing the same internet would actually slow each other down rather than give either an advantage, imagine two people rushing out the front door at the same time. What you really need to do is have two people from different internet connections to hedge your chances, but I digress. The mod basically blogged his thoughts out loud on this thread and the witch hunt began. The disconcerting thing is that it can take a user years acruing 100% positive feedback to be trusted on a trust-based platform like this, but it can be undone in seconds with just a few posts that don't even need to be coherent.

This will be my first CPK chopper of any size/flavor, I look forward to it and I will make no apologies about it. Still looking for my first shiv, got $$$ ready if anybody still wants to do business. Dropping the mic ...

chchin2, I give you a very friendly word of advice albeit unsolicited, without any agenda:

There is such a thing (unwritten rule) on the Site which is often referred to as "Mod sass" which gets serious frowned upon. The Super who decided to check your IP address is actually one of the more tolerant Supers as I have seen other Supers act with less tolerance toward certain controversial issues. Nathan had stated that it was all well & good and it was a misunderstanding, so this Super bowed out according to the owner of the subforum's wishes. Let's just leave it at that without dragging him into this again.

After reading a few of your posts (let's not forget that you have not been an active contributor on here before today) I can clearly feel your zest and enthusiasm for Nathan's knives which is always welcomed. Your Son or both Sons if happen to become real knife enthusiast, can always join the Site as paid members and you can send a message to the Site's Owner (aka Spark) to explain as to what is going on with different IDs from the same ISP address. BHyde was referring to the cases whereby people create multiple accounts for nefarious reasons such as trolling or feedback padding which are egregious and against the rules.

Enjoy your CPK patterns

FWIW, trust in the subs has everything to do with social capital, and nothing to do with Feedback score. I can’t even remember the last time I used the feedback feature.

Social capital here will come with time and positive contribution.

I hope you enjoy your CPK and your stay. Look forward to your user reports, oh and pics. Lots of pics.

Not considering that mod sass. I have had much much worse than that and said very little about it.
Not much I can say that Casinostocks Casinostocks didn't already say.

Apologies chchin2 chchin2

I didn't consider that as sassy either and I know that you're a Big Man capable of taking quite a few right hooks and uppercuts without flinching much ;) But a friendly reminder to not let things escalate is always prudent.

As an aside (somewhat of a sass) I think with your big hands, you may eventually need to get a CPK with slightly larger handles than that entry level EDC-2 :p

I have 3 NC knives- HDFK, FK and a potato knife and soon a EDC2 :)
Love every one of them. One of the guys here was so kind as to send me one because he thought I may like it. Too cool!

I do spend a fair amount of time in this sub reading and looking over some of the knives that I wish I had and some of the very cool pics..I just don't post if that makes sense. Honestly, since becoming a Super, most of my posts are coming from the stuff in the back end and some of the moderation stuff that goes on daily. Not really content.

Thank you for the advice but I doubt it is without agenda. If you were really looking out for me, this would have been private messaged to me but instead it was posted here where you could publicly demonstrate your ‘wisdom’ and give the mod shout-outs. I am sure he is deserving of every nice thing you have to say, but doing it in this context is a little distasteful. Although this whole thing may have been entertaining to you, it was jarring for me. The case was dropped because it was concluded nothing wrong took place. We should be respectful to the mods but when a mistake is made, we should be allowed to dispute it. When somebody’s name is unjustifiably dragged through the mud, we should be allowed to say something. I respectfully disagree that we should be quiet and just take it for fear of the mods getting offended. I think they are adults and not as sensitive as you think. In fact, the mod has already corrected his position, apologized and moved-on. I am ready to move on as well.

^well put

I appreciate the civil tone and rational discourse. I don't see a need for this discussion to go further.

I'm going to go ahead and lock this thread now.

It has come to Jo's attention that people are not getting tracking information. All of these knives have shipped. If you did not receive tracking information, please let Jo know at jocarothers (at) gmail (dot) com Thank you! -Jo
