Bottom line is that Ohio's knife laws suck. They are so vague that not even the cops can figure them out. On top of that, individual cities have taken it upon themselves to pass some odd laws. And on top of that, case law changes all sorts of things.
Some guys think it's funny that I've put away my Spydercos and have now gone slipjoints for EDC carry. But, you see, the cops will arrest you because that's their job!! And then you get to spend thousands of dollars to clear yourself and you never even get an apology. Whatever the laws are doesn't really matter if it's going to leave you broke in the end.
Yes, I'd rather carry a Tenacious, but I carry a sodbuster...Oh, and that's a hair over legal limit around here. I just hope nobody ever measures the dumb thing!
