from the Forum rules:

You might be a dealer if

you buy knives with the express purpose to turn around and resell them at a profit, on a regular basis, then you just might be a dealer.

Hint if you have already done this once and you do it again you may be in violation of this rule......

So there are no surprises I am going to do my best to get one tonight. If I get ANY EXTRAS they will be offered to forum regulars and BCS cost!

I promise I will raise as much stink as I possibly can on anybody that buys these up and in a few days they appear in the exchange for 300 plus dollars!!

There is ample evidence that the Busse forum is getting on other peoples nerves. We need to police ourselves. We need to be kind to each other.

I fully admit that part of my motivation in this post is self interest. I would really like one of these.

There honest...upfront and simply my opinion. Flame away!

I agree - the flippers do nothing but pollute the market and cheapen us all. Buy a couple sure but keep, use and love them!

I am with you on this for sure Justabuyer!

Good luck tonight, JAB!
I already have a couple wardens, so I'm staying away tonight.
I never buy extras anyway, and I've never sold a knife.
(do have a few identical sheaths, though!)

I'll do my usual two to four.

I never thought of it before but the guys that buy 10 can be of help to people that miss out due to travel or something.

For example I know that you want a Red Warden because you had asked about one of mine. I had to say no because I only have two, but if I had ten then I would have had one to sell you when you asked me.

There is always another side of the story. Although I tend to agree with you.

But why do you think it is tonight... did Skunk post???

Don't worry... Operation Drain Jaxx is on schedule... If I have enough left for 1 or 2 by the time they hit, I'll be way surprised! LOL

As in selling Plasma?? Good luck - and keep giving!! If you pass out I will cover for you at the sale. Cost plus a small handling fee..............no really! :D

Where do you get off threatening people? If somebody wants to buy a knife for one price, and sell it a at a later date for more money how is that your business?:barf:

I'm so sick of people complaining that Busse knives cost too much on the secondary market.

IF YOU THINK IT'S OVERPRICED, DON'T BUY IT.

My compliant is about not following forum rules. My interest was fully disclosed in the original post. Reading is fundamental to having a internet conversation.

Actually I think it is just a comment on some who bought a zillion of the Wardens and then turned around and dumped them onto the market.

True people can do what they like - but then we too can poo-poo them for doing so. Its a free society -

I should be alright (Thanxx for offering!) but I've been on a mad purchase spree, not so much quantity this time but quality... Some tasty stuff!! I'm just TRYING TO CHILL EVERYONE OUT so I can by 27!!! ;) LOL J/K! :D :D

I'm with Matteo on this one. Threatening people in this pre-emptive fashion is pretty lame.

JAB, you might have simply posted a polite request rather than a "I'm gonna get you if I don't get a GW" post.

Did you ever consider that your accusatory and whining tone might be dragging down the community as well?

Got distracted by strider's backround and put busse in da ghetto soap opera topics. What announcement did I miss?

My reading comprehension is just fine. You are taking the spirit of the rule and distorting it.

Are you suggesting that it's unethical to sell a knife for a profit?

No I think what he's saying is that it's not very cool to buy and immediately turn around and sell at a profit. If you sell down the road then so be it, but next day or next week selling at huge profits is not cool. However, I agree that there should be no limits. We just choose not to deal with the economic rapists and that is all there is to it:thumbup:

yes, skunk posted yesterday in the fire thread. iirc they are going up tonite between 6-7 mountain time.

i dont think justabuyer was threatening anyone, although when i first read his post is thought the same thing.

i believe his intent was to try and avoid the situation of one person buying a bunch then turning right around and selling at a substantial profit. that makes you a dealer, thats all.

whether this thread is necessary or not, i dont think jab was being malicious.

That's all fine and dandy, and I actually agree. But I think he might have gone about his point in a different fashion.

Point taken I had not considered that. I am not convinced that reminding people of the rules is a bad thing.

I still think that people that sit on a high speed connection and buy way more than they need for the express intent of resale are breaking the rules.

Letting them know that I intend to call them on it loudly this time around is not a threat. No one needs to worry about what I do unless THEY are breaking the rules.

Note the the title of the post FRIENDLY REMINDER.

Its common knowledge that I am looking for a red one. I think I have treated my quest with good humor and Friendly banter. However some of the greed and profiteering that goes on around here at the expense of "friends" is a little sad. Honestly Guyon...do you see any truth in that at all?

I may not be 100 percent right here...But maybe just a little? :)

I have no intentions of buying any GW's tonight, but if a few come onto the exchange forum in a few days that you think are too expensive don't buy them!

Is that so hard to understand?

When did this become the Socialist/Communist forum?

good points, all of them.

often if we go looking for something, in this case a rule violation, we are going to find it even if its not there. not that i think you would do this. but someone else might see this, quietly agree, the blow the whistle on someone who had not intent on breaking any rule. they may just have bought a few, for say gifts, trades, etc, then needed the money back in a hurry.
