From China With Love!

The SanRenMu 710 is the best value-for -money knife I've got so far. I've got about a dozen different SanRenMu's, and they are all good quality for the money, love them. I suspect they also do production for american companies.
I must say that some of their designs do remind me of other knives, to put it mildly.

A Byrd/Spyderco Cara Cara came in today's mail, not my first Byrd knife, just the biggest. They make really nice stuff.

For me - it's a tossup between the Kershaw Chill and the Spyderco Persistence. I'm still amazed that you can get this type quality for $20-$30 bucks. I still buy my share of higher end folders but it's nice to have a few decent knives that you don't have to worry about losing or abusing.

I like the Rough Rider sod busters, and the Indian head ones. Cheap, sharp well made knives for the $10 you can buy them for.

These I guess...

I was in China for six months, and bought a no name "China" stamped but looked right and tight multi tool that was hands down the best multi tool I have ever used. It was confiscated on my return flight in American customs, but it changed my mind about what Chinese manufacturing can accomplish.

Hi,

Yeah I like the Rough Riders too. I have several that get pocket time on a regular basis.

A small lock-back I like. It locks open like a bank vault,

My SOG tomahawk is one of my most loved pieces of gear. I have beat this hawk senseless and it has absorbed every ounce of it with ease!!!;) Even though it has been slightly modified. It too comes from China.

I would have a tough time choosing a favorite from my three AG Russell Texas Ranger knives. All three carry well in belt pouches, great steel is all three, all can easily be thumbed open.

These are larger knives made for hard work, the swell center sunfish blade is massive. The blade, made from 8Cr15MoV, is 3 5/16ths, an astounding 1 1/2 inches wide, and just a couple hundredths shy of being 1/4 inch thick. If I had to pick a favorite out of the three this one would be it...

Sanrenmu knives have been consistently very good, judging from the several different models I've purchased. I'd have no reservations about buying another one sight unseen.

Must agree with the above, the Spyderco Tenacious, and the Boker Plus Exskelibur are top notch.

The Spyderco Tenacious/Persistence is a great design with mediocre blade steel. Offers alot of bang-per-buck with G-10 scales and a 4-position clip. Used mine hard as a work knife for about a year. Lock-up is still as good as new!

And the Boker Plus Exskelibur is a magnificent knife for the money. Titanium and G-10 with excellent fit and finish! One of the best looking blades i own.
