Front versus back pocket carry

I'm curious- where do yall carry your knives? I lost a knife awhile back from my back and switched to my front. I think I prefer my back pocket, but I'm always worried about losing my knives.

Both - front right and rear left. Haven't lost one yet. I just make sure the clip is strong enough to hold it in place.

Front pockets. I've never lost a clipped knife or traditional knife from my front pocket.
I don't put anything in my rear pocket.

I carry RFP clipped and Right rear with a traditional. I have dropped my 80T schrade out of my back pocket once, but it was because I forgot my bandana I usually keep in the right rear along with the knife. otherwise with a bandana/hanky it's secure for me.

I carried a Spyderco Cat clipped in my right back pocket before in a job that had me climbing up and down industrial shelves all day. Imagine my surprise when I moved some of the shelves over and saw my Cat hanging off one of the shelves! Apparently it had gotten snagged on the frame and come out of my pocket without me even noticing. One time too, I was carrying a Caly 3.5 in right back pocket, went to sit down at a table and snagged the clip on the tables edge and had the clip get bent. Easily fixed but still annoying. Now I only carry right front pocket. Never had any problems with my knives there.

I've always found my left back pocket tremendously more convenient. It's easier to access I think and that pocket is always empty as opposed to my left front which has other stuff. Also, it allows me to comfortably carry right handed knives. I've sort of gotten frustrated lately with the lack of accessibity of some left handed options (and I couldn't possibly care less on the lock side, it's just the clip), and I've debate going back to back pocket. I would have to feel super confident in the clip though. The last knife I carried back pocket was a benchmade bone collector that was lost forever from that spot. I've had some issues front pocket too, but since I've found the knife the few times it's happened I'm less traumatized.

Right front pocket in pants, bib pocket in overalls(country boy). Back pocket? Never put a piece of steel where you have to sit on it.

Always in the front right. Occasionally back left as well, preferably something with a right handed wave.

Always front right. Used to have one back left, but not anymore since i started carrying fixes blades along with a one hander.

Always in the front pocket, sometimes clipped but sometimes in a pouch. I don't like sitting on my knives so back pocket is not an option

Right front, left front and left belt carry for right hand draw. Better to keep them closer to the centerline of your body for quicker access, even when hindered.

Front pocket. I don't get back pocket carry. More wear and tear on your pants from what I can determine. Who wants to sit on your knife every day? In the front pocket, I can glance down or touch to confirm I have my knife very easily. Not so much with rear pocket carry. Also much easier to lose your knife in a crowd of unscrupulous people in the back pocket.

When I am carrying two folders, the larger one rides in the rear pocket and the smaller one (used more often) rides in the front. Any folder going in my back pocket has to have a relatively deep carry clip and strong retention. Also, if I am going to be working on my back or within a confined space, I will remove the knife from my back pocket and place it inside my waistband at the 4 O'clock position.

Edit: Placing a strip of duct tape inside the rear pocket will prevent pants from wearing prematurely.

I just recently started carrying my Military in my rear right pocket, non clipped, with the smaller Techno in my right front pocket. The Techno can handle my usual EDC needs but I like having the Millie in case a need arises for a bigger blade....although I am a little undecided if I'll continue carrying it this way.
