Frustrated, with sharping!

Take a sharpie marker and color the edge you are trying to sharpen and make a few light passes with the stone and the places where the marker is removed will show you where the stone is contacting that blade. You might be using a angle that is lower than what is on the factory edge, and the marker trick will tell you real fast if you are set up at the right angle.
