Brand new; never carried. I just bought it a few weeks ago, and while it's a true beauty it has already been a safe queen and I'm more of a user than a collector.
No up-and-down play. If I realllly get bear down on the blade I can feel the slightest "give" in the side-to-side movement, but I personally don't consider it blade play. It's truly as solid as can be. The factory edge is super sharp by my measure. Includes box and papers; blade has not been registered with MT.
One cool detail about this one is it is the version where the red = fire (opposed to others where they changed it to white = fire). Nothing major, but I liked this myself...
