You might have like eight of the same pm from me, my phone is acting goofy, I don't believe the msg was sent though. I basically was curious how the larger blocks come to you, if you have indeed purchased them. Do carbon makers simply bond thinner sheets together to make a larger block or are the blocks one uniform piece?I couldn't find a link to PM you so I dropped it into your visitor messages in your profile.
Here was my message:
Thanks for the reply, Chris. Ideally,I'd be interested in blocks that look like your thinner plate but in sizes large enough for hidden tang bowies. For my knives this would be 5.5"L X 2.5"W X 1.125"T. Similar slabs in the 3/8"-1/2" thickness range would be nice for full tang knives. I like the clean structured look of the weave texture in your first photos. The swirl/random thing is OK but not as interesting to me personally. It looks like the thicker block has some air bubbles or voids. Would this be a problem with thicker pieces or would production pieces be free of defects? What do you think ballpark prices might be for the sizes I mentioned?
Thanks,
Marc

I didn't get your message either. Anyway, I haven't used CF blocks yet so I don't have any idea how they are constructed. I suspect they are one solid block and not laminated sheets. I was just curious if you make larger blocks and what pricing might be. But don't sweat it. I'm not in dire need of it. Just thinking about projects down the road.
