Thank you, sir!
Thank you so much. That is an old USA Imperial.I seem to have lost track of this very impressive thread over the past couple of weeks; more stunning contributions have appeared!!:thumbup:
VERY impressive, Gus!In some other thread, I remarked about how many marvelous TCs you must have, and here they are! :thumbup:
Do you pick up whatever you can find, or is there a "theme" to guide your acquisitions?
Wow, Will!!:thumbup::thumbup: As Frank Sinatra once sang, it was a very good year!! Kind of the Year of the 38 for you, in some sense, although as Brad notes, you have quite a variety of fantastic knives you've picked up so far this year!
(I'm probably at least as impressed with your stag 83 as you are!
)
That's a strong recommendation that concurs with the opinion of Mr. Chips!!
Congrats on the impressive "sub-collections" you've put together, Jack!! :thumbup::thumbup: I need to expand my horizons by tracking down some of those British Army Clasp knife threads and learning about something totally foreign (no pun intended) to me!
VERY cool, Randy; those chestnut bone Cases you picked up are a fantastic addition to what was already a superb bunch of traditional folders!! :thumbup::thumbup: Who is the maker of the Barlow on the lower left in your photo? That looks very classic to me.Actually, that entire left column of a baker's dozen plus one Barlows looks incredible to me!!!

Day-yum, you are killin' me. Very sweet Barlow line up.![]()

Wow. Super tiny! Jack... what is the tortoiseshell with the tortoise blade and spatula/spoon? I've not seen that configuration. What is the spoon for?
This pic shows the size of my current collection and how I store them, even though it doesn't allow identification of most of the knives. (Actually, the knives I'm carrying this week, or using in the kitchen, aren't in the containers, so imagine another 15 knives filling in some of the spaces.)

I have a big box that I keep all of my little boxes in (but many of my knives are pre-owned and I don't have boxes for them).very similar to my cigar case for my users. but what do you do with the boxes and stuff in case you want to let something go for sale?

Jack, That little one in the middle of the photo may be the smallest knife that I've ever seen. Ear spoons are still used in Japan.... at least a friend from Japan uses one. I'm not sure of the scale in your photo but her ear spoon is much smaller though. Maybe it's made for a smaller ear?? She has tiny ears.
