Can you guys please list all the full tang scandis that you know of? Pictures would be even better. I can only think of the Skookum bush Tool.

How about Dan Koster's bushcraft knife?

01 Steel

Curly Maple handle

AWESOME finish right from the factory. Purchased as a kit and Loneridergrips put the handle on for me.

Two questions: what's SWC? And what cost more the knife or the book (I've heard its pretty tough to comeby Mears' books).

That books in Borders
I have some others that are pretty good, but they were from England.

By the way, the Koster Bushcraft is excellent.:)

SBT, Woodlore and the Koster were the ones I knew about. Not too many. I am still happy with the Mora 2000. Just wanted to know if there were many other options. Thanks all.

Frosts Lapplander series are all full-tang. Great knives too. Can't post pick now as I'm not at home.

Here's a couple by SWC Steve Cox I did the handling:

I'm really surprised no US company or even scandinavian company is making any full tang scandis. The time is right market wise.

I guess I never give a thought to the size of the tang on a knife. If I were planning on using one as a choipper,(which I don't) then I may opt for a full tang. However in all my years of cutting and using knives, I have never seen a sign of weakness in this area. Not with my many Mora's or any other knife. To me its more like white wall or black wall tires. It makes no real difference in a cutting tool.

Kochanski thinks you should be able to use your bushcraft knife as a step on the side of a tree (tip pounded in and stand on the handle). I'm pretty sure I wouldn't want to try that with a Mora.
