Fun In Eugene

That was a good show. I got there when the gates opened, and headed over to see if Rob had any Talonite stuff left. Nope. Ya gotta be quick at these shows, real quick.

Had only a couple of hours to hang out, so I did a fly-by and bailed without getting to talk to many people. Next year I'll set the whole weekend aside for the show. I'll also bring more cash next time..... anybody else think about heading out to the parking lot and selling their car real quick? I sure did, but I was driving the wife's car. Damn the luck.

Mitch is right though, if you haven't done a show, do so at your earliest convenience. Quite a thing.

Sorry Vel, I got Rob's last Talonite peice on Saturday morning.

Actually, Tom Mayo got the last one...the one that Rob was wearing!

and Mitch...where is the picture of Audra dancing on your dinner table?? cant believe you missed that one!!!!!!

My wife, and I were at the show for all 3 days, and met some great forums people, and knifemakers.
Enjoyed talking with you Mitch, and Randy(nifrand) who was set up next to Larry Chew.
This was our first all knife show, and what a blast!!!!
Bought a knife from Larry Chew(Covert Spitfire D/A), and Tom Mayo(standard TNT).
What great people!!!!!

Larry

Guys I had a great time at the show! It was good meeting all of you!

Tom, glad you were happy to have the extra 45, and I am also glad you didnt shoot me with it for snoring! You know after I handled a few of your TNT's I must have one! Great knives, and like has been said they are even better in the hand than in the pictures. Unbelievable knives Tom!

Mitch, I was very honored that you bought a fixed blade from me, especially after you told me it was your first custom fixed blade! You should have it tomorrow afternoon with the new leftie multi sheath.

Chuck Bybee and family, it was great having dinner with you at the banquet! We had some fun huh? Well, after that night your wife kept looking at me sideways and wanting to gather the children and hide them from me!

Chuck, you and your family are one thing I will never forget about that show. You are also a very generous bunch. Ill put the Ti and Carbon Fiber to good use! Oh yeah, and that fancy desert really was just to look at, not to eat!!!!!! That boy of yours ever go back and check the "winker" out?

Larry and Vince with Blade Art are great folks, I would not hesitate to do biz with them any day!

It was fun playing with Audra's flicker at the Friday night dinner after she danced on the table! I am kinda dissapointed in her though, she was supposed to let me chew on her bone sunday morning but forgot to bring it!
wink.gif
ha ha I am dissapointed in Ken Onion this year though, he ate all his steak, didnt leave me a bite! Chin asked me where I was putting all the beer, he is always a kick in the but. Oh yeah, and thanks to Tom Walz for buying dinner!

All in all, I had a great time, hope most of us can get together in Atlanta, if not there then again in Eugene next year!

There is a bunch more, just no more time to type!

Oh yeah, and dont go spreading rumors about the Valet incident in Vegas Tom, cause I aint sure the statute of limitations are up yet! ha ha ha ha
