fundraser custom 120 two liine

Uh, I believe that's 10:02AM...PDT...1:02PM here...On a Wednesday...A workday...I drive a truck...No cell phones allowed...(I don't own a cell phone anyway...I hate telephones)... :grumpy:

I'll put in my $108 bid before I leave for work... ;)

Well duh!! :foot: I'm only off 12 hours; guess I looked at the end time incorrectly somehow, so Joe did well as that makes it over my lunch hour. :) You're gonna have to up that $108 ante though as it's already above that!

I had to make up a "cheat sheet" showing eBay's West Coast (PDT) time and the corresponding Right Coast time...eBay uses the 24 hour clock...I got skunked a couple times because I wasn't on their time...

OK, I can scrape up another $7 but anything after that will have to wait until the end of the month when I can cash one of last year's saving bonds... :o

OK
Let's see...What else has Joe got?...
Hmmmhmmmhmmm...Oh! *That's* where Herbert (I wonder if 334dave got that subtle joke yet?) got that pic from!!! :D
dugh:confused: ... did i miss a joke?
dayum i hate missing the funny cartoons on buck forum tv!
i would bid on that knife my self but heck i had it once ...
remember i only collect 110's right?
it is a two line , and i think it is the older verson...
i can not recall ever buck saveing the hard ware ... this makes it a first ..
and so close to a orgional old custom as to be unable to tell!!

Joe has saved knives with the original parts. If the epoxy isnt holding too well and parts can be salvaged they are. This isnt the first time ;)

Speculation should not be part of auctioning items. Only facts...

Day-Um!!! This is going down tomorrow noon!!!

I got two auctions up over $400 right now!!! They end tomorrow 10-ish!!! I'll be on the road!!! I can put in a last bid before I leave for work, but I'm high bidder now and don't want to lose them!!!

...Bye-bye, 120... :(

(On a more pleasant note, I'll be helping China's economy!) ;)

Facts from a view point other then your knowledge base ..
the information i recall form limited conversations and limited reading on this forum referencing fixed blades is that ...
while guards are often saved the spacers are hard to save..
and the birds beak is rare to save...
it is in that all of the hard ware was saved i had not heard of ...
that Joe made special note of it suggested to me this was not common.
as every knows i don't collect fixed blades..
and in saying "I had not heard before".. qualified it a first to me not to anyone else...
i however will yield to your expert knowledge in fixed blades...
it most likely is not a first...
i said that in excitement..
my apologies to all ...

......But Dave!!!...You're Buck's Official Spokesman to the BladeForums!!! You are supposed to *know* what you're talking about!!!

With all the inside contacts you have at Buck, all the secret messaging/calls to present and former Buck executives, all the inside knowledge that only you possess, there is no reason for you to be ignorant!!! :grumpy:

Get on the stick, guy!!!

BTW: I'd like to point out something that may not be obvious...

Although there were 10 bids spread out among 7 bidders, many more bids were received...(5 of them were by me)... :o

...But none of them show up in the final listing, because all my bids were lower than the max bid of someone else who had bid...

So, if you're looking at this auction as an indication of how much interest there might be in a Custom Shop 119/120, be aware that there were many others who bid whose bids did not show up because they were under the max of someone else...and if you bid in the last few minutes (especially if you are on a dial-up), your bid never got over the max...no matter how close to the end time you were...

Just goes to show that "sniping" is pretty much overrated...It's big $$$ that wins auctions... :D

HEY!!! Be quiet! MY wife might be monitoring this site!

What do you plan to tell her when Joe calls you up to the podium at the BCCI Bash to present it to you??? :D

"Twenty Years of Faithful Service"???

"Best Dressed"???

"Cutest Couple"???

Wait...Go with that last one...She'll buy it... :p

LOLOLOLO rof LMAO ....
deal i worked out was hard money she gotto keep soft i get back..
in exchnage i will give her back the change from the money she gives me to get something for her ... every so offten i test this ... and if i dont get the dollor bill back i start keeping her change... you know the 10 to go get that milk or some odd thing some place...
that adds up lots faster then getting the dryer money back!!
