Future Becker knives

I was hoping big time for these, but as Dex and others have stated its not going to happen. Didn't DerekH design a Brute spinoff a couple of years ago?

I did, but it was very different.

Lovely knife, and definitely something I would want to carry if I was in the zombie apocalypse, but she chops not so well comparatively to a 9. TO be honest she chops more like a hammer. My fault for designing her so big and getting a saber convex instead of full convex or flat.

with cost and sheaths aside. which one is better, bk12 or esee 6?

BK12. Ethan's handle design beats almost all productions knives on the market. I recommend the micarta of course.

My ESEE 6 is cool and all but I much prefer the 12.

I'll second the 12, but I really do like the drop point profile of my ESEE 6/RAT 7 over the more spear point profile of my 12. If everybody's favorite Uncle Ethan would design around a 7ish inch drop point blade, high saber grind, flat spine from ramp to tip..................now that IMO would a grail knife as far as production blades go.

If you're in the market for a knife and you've narrowed it down to the ESEE 6 and Bk 12, opt for the 12.

The Patrol Machete with a slight redesign is a possible.......The Brute looks tres badass but I can easily out chop it with a Nine and it is just not worth the effort........ With the rumors of a return of the Becker-Reinhart Kukri running rampant we will have a chopper of incredible capability.......Sooooo...... the Patrol Machete seems a bit redundant........

Stay tuned......

The Kukri for my left hand and the Patrol Machete for my right hand. We need both! Really........haha

Damn, boss! You are a tease!

I ALWAYS want to say more but, I hate to raise expectations especially the part about ......HOW LONG ??????..........

I will only say that some of the designs I have wanted have been stewing for decades and I am not a patient person......

Anyway, it only takes a couple of brewskis to get the ten year plan....... Gotta be here tho.......

I have an Esee 6 and I really like it but the spear point of the BK12 is really calling to me. Decisions, decisions.

Well, you better answer the call. You won't be disappointed.

What's that old saying...Give a man a fish and he eats for a day, teach him to fish and he eats for a lifetime. Same logic applies. I like my ESEE, and it's good for a days use, but but when i grab my 12, I never want to put it down. But that applies to all my BK's, the only limitation is how i can think to put them to use.

Answer that call brother!!!

I'd love to see some new designs on smaller blades as well. Perhaps some high end alternatives within the Becker line.

Definitely! I would love to see the CSM BK11 re-released or maybe a D2 or other neat steel BK11.
