I just got my G-10 Delica and Endura today. I have one every D4 and E4 made. These by far are the best of the stable. Not that there is anything wrong with the others, but if you really want to enjoy a finely made Spyderco; get yourself a G-10 Delica or Endura.

No pics; as usual I got them about 10 minutes before I had to rush to work. :grumpy:

Its a great knife by any standard, i was/am very pleased with mine

How do you two find the tip on the Delica? Too thin? Able to stand up to moderately hard use (no prying)?

Well you have to remember the blade is different than the regular D4 since it is a flat grind vs the regular sabre grind. I would expect it to perform admirably, but since I got them just long enough to fondle and appreciate with my knife knowing hands before running to work, I can't really speak with authority. ;)

Zen. I would love to see some pics of your new acquisitions. I have plenty of interest in these two models also. Pics please?

Well Zen, I've been waiting on your almighty written word of approval before ordering, so now I can safely go ahead and give up my money to the pharmacy.

I'll let ya know what I think of it in a week or so!

Since you have both the D4 wave and the G-10 delica, do you think it would be possible to swap handles? Do the locks/pivot section of the blade/ etc seem the same thickness?

I recently did a Foliage Frn handle swap with my d4wave, however, my ultimate knife would be with the foliage green G-10 handles with a waved blade. :D

I was thinking the same thing. . .or at least maybe a pink waved endura just to confuse people!

I wonder if the full steel liners add appreciably to the weight.

Still, a great looking knife & thanks for the pics!

Ok, reality check - how's the blade play? I will buy G10 endura, no doubt, but I'd like to know whether there are maybe more improvements... I'm really dissapointed that my Chinese made Byrd CaraCara has no or absolutely minimal vertical blade play, while EVERY Japanese Endura I own has it...
