Thank you sir! That's all I've been buying in recent history, these are from the last year or so if I recall correctly. These have all been soaped up to degrease so they are lighter than if you oil it, oiling it will bring it closer to the look of the green leather sheath but not that dark.
The Trustee Warden could be tan canvas micarta, according to the original owner that ordered it but it looks very close to the green I've been seeing. Seems to me the green is very subdued and almost has more of a Flat Dark Earth look to it when oiled.

It appears the green is lighter... less green... than the earlier batches, which I got on my BGFBM... and I don't think on anything else. I'll probably do either green or black on stonewash for this one. I just can't do G10 anymore. Especially on a knife that could see either (1) heavy outdoor use chopping, or (2) blood and/or animal fats (which this probably would see). So, won't be doing NUKE, even as good as ALL the NUKE scales look.
In for a black coated blade with green Micarta. Now to forget all about it until the ding![]()
One of every color?Ordered. Satin everything.
You have to have options...One of every color?
Perhaps it is impermeable to bacteria. But while covered in blood and guts, I've found that the micarta is less prone to slipping in my grip. I'd rather have the surer grip.I thought G-10 was better for blood and guts, as it is impermeable to all the bacteria.![]()
