Garage invader nabbed!!

Been trying to catch what I thought was at first maybe a rat or mouse all week in my garage, but the traps kept getting sprung without catching it.

So I set a larger trap and last night caught the little invader.

teehee, he looks grumpy.

possum, yes?

Yeah it's a possum

Careful you don't get bit, possums are a major carrier of rabies IIRC.

The three you need to be careful with are possums, bats and foxes.

A little off topic, I'm wondering what sort of sound he was making or if he was just bearing his teeth.

Aren't raccoons big carries as well?

EEKK - those things are so freakin' ugly.

We've got a bunch of those little ugly critters around here.

Have fun getting it out of the trap :)

Seems like Bats are the big one, only one racoon on there that I can see (south central MI).

Looks like a mean little sucker! How are you going to get him/her out of the trap?

I've always found the barrel of a .22 between the bars works well. Although most of the trapping like this I've done is up at my grandparent's place and they have chickens and rabbits (want to keep the possums away)
