Can I ask what the tube-shaped "thing" you're cutting here is?

It is basically a bigger hosepipe that has been lying on the ground for some time. To my knowledge it is designed to be able to take significant higher pressure and flow compared to a normal hosepipe.

Here is a side view after I sawed through it with a Atlantic Salt with serrated edge.
