It has a pretty good blade/handle economy because of the absence of the choil. But those with large hands will likely universally prefer the Ratmandu. Something just feels right in hand with an RMD. I have not held an SOS so I can't say if it feels the same. But, I admire the knife and think it was a good design decision.

Imagine if the RMD took up less space in your hand. That's what it feels like. It's comfortable.

Man, I already have an 1111 and 1311, but the forest green and midnight blue coatings look awesome.

Im selling my Mountainmandu if I get a blue 1111, although they all look amazing.

I am glad I asked. I know everybody loved the Ratmandu, but the SOS is more in my sweet spot, I think.

I initially passed on the SOS, but when they were delivered and more pics started showing up, I had to have one. Awesome blade, great size.

Very true the only reason its a not a done deal is I got both flavors of the BB13.

I just decided to draft it 1311s first and if I miss the steak as a backup.

Basically anything battlegrade is SR101 and the same for anything SYCO or from the swamp. The easiest way to tell is the Busse logo, if a blade has it then it's INFI.

I'm not sure about the logos on the other ELMAX blades produced before this Ganza.
