Well its been another year since the last GAW. Summer is winding down & kids are heading back to school again. We had a very cool June, but had a record top ten hottest July where I live. Hope everyone has had a good summer with family & friends.
So its time for a another GAW.

So, Up for this years GAW is a BNIB #043176 Schatt & Morgan 2007 Brown Sheffield Whittler (not a splitback). Covers are anything but brown. They are black to me even in the sun. Blades are 420HC I believe. Great quality on this one! I have never seen another one of these.

Please read these instructions / rules carefully please.

Here are the rules:
1. Please participate only if you are a regular paid member here in Traditional's (50 or more posts).
2. To Participate: Just post "I'm in" & tell us what your favorite ice cream is or place to go for ice cream. Knife pics always welcome of course :) .You may enter once for yourself & once for a friend. Two entries.
3. First post gets a second entry for themselves.
3. I will draw a random number to determine the winning post.
4. I will let this run a week or so till 8-21-23 sometime.

I grew up in a small town - Hanford CA. Superior Dairy is a legend in the central valley for their amazing ice cream & large portions. When I was a kid they made the ice cream right behind the store. Nothing has changed inside to this day. Like a time machine of memories. Old original clock still works.

I'm in, my favorite place to get Ice Cream is from Kirk's in Myrtle Beach. Not sure if it the ice cream or the beach that makes it special :D
 
I wonder if I may offer my own entry to another, and thus nominate two?

We just moved to Idaho this summer, but already in the small town we live in there is a better ice cream shop than where we lived in Florida. It is a old style drug store and it has the long counter with stools where you can sit (sorry, I don't have pictures). The kids have already enjoyed a few trips there!

I'd like to enter for Prester John Prester John and JohnDF JohnDF if I may.

Here are three of my sweetest knives!

I’m in. We moved from Lincoln a few years ago but I’ll always miss the lemon soft serve from Dairy Sweet.
 
Not an entry for me just to say what a very generous gesture.

Hopefully a regular who missed out on a HJ may get lucky.



My favourite Ice-cream is anything local when I am on my motorbike travelling abroad as it means I am out and about and free.



In the UK my favourite is Kellys from Cornwall I leave it out of the freezer a while then it becomes soft and creamy.

I just finished a tub tonight and now you have me wanting more. 😁



 
I’m in! Favorite ice cream has always been pistachio. My dad always ordered it and I wanted to be like him.

Back then, sometimes they’d put walnuts instead of pistachios in the green ice cream. As a cost saving exercise. He would be so mad it was funny.

A little unclear if the friend has to be a member or not. If not, I’d like my second entry to go to my youngest son. I call him Lucky, he has had so many heath scares and issues in his life, he reminds me of the dog on the poster.

Not in as it gets complicated to send stuff abroad. Plus, ice-cream in nice but I could well live without the stuff. A monster fine GAW though, great knife 😍 My favourite ice-cream (tend to prefer sorbet really...) is Pistachio. I would like to nominate jmh33 jmh33 Good luck John :cool:

Cool GAW, Tim, not an entry for me.

My father had a milk truck delivery route when I was very young (so I did look a little like the milkman), a benefit was all the ice cream I could eat when I tagged along. Favorite ice cream flavor is coffee with jimmies (chocolate sprinkles).

Favorite location is Cafe Gelato at Bellagio (cappuccino and pistachio gelato flavors).

Oh boy, definitely in the chance at that beauty. That’s my kind of knife😍

I generally stay away from sweets, but I am a sucker for good ice cream. I lived in the south for a long time, and I sure miss blue bell mint chocolate chip. Other parts of the country just don’t understand what they are missing. My family and I stopped at the factory in Brenham TX several times.

Tim, mate this is such a kind offer- and one most typical of the solid vein of goodness that runs through this community.

I am not in this competition, simply because I have been, and are far too spoilt by my friends here, but I want to thank you hugely- That's a very good looking Knife you are gifting, somebody is going to be VERY happy!!

Who doesn't love ice cream? Just finished some myself, after seeing my wife eating some. I believe it's called "Turtle" ice cream, with pecans, caramel, and little chocolate turtles, in what looks like a vanilla ice cream base. It's not my favorite, though. Strawberry and vanilla are my favorite flavors, with chocolate coming in third. If I have to pick one, guess I'll go with strawberry. And where is the best? At Marble Slab Creamery.

Don't know where this one is located (got pic off the net), but we have three locations in my city. It is the richest ice cream I have ever had, with a high fat content.

A member was kind enough to nominate me, so I am not entering for myself. "I'm in" for mitch13 mitch13 , if that's okay.

Toted these to work today. One is a Jack Black Jack Black SFO lambsfoot from 2018, and the other is a Case trapper, as y'all know.
