I'm in, I've been wanting a sway back. Thanks for the generous GAW
Everyone should have one of these, and most probably did have one at some point in their lives
Remington R16, a really sweet little 3" workhorse. I'd like everyone who hasn't tried a congress or a smaller knife to get one of these. So, very soon one these is coming up for a GAW. Anyhow, thanks for your generosity and given the chance I'd gladly take that swayback off your hands. Definitely one of Case's best looking patterns.
Never had my hands on a swayback jack. I would love to try one. A knife everybody should try is a puukko. I just have the one, by Tapio Wirkkala, but I'm angling for another.
Thanks Dan, great GAW. Here is my old Loom Fixer that was given to my grandfather in 1965 and passed on to me by my dad last year. I wish everyone could experience the utility, beauty, and sentiment of this old girl. Regards
The knife that's been finding my pocket more than not lately is an 81 stockman in red River acrylic. I do live stockman knives and this is my only one at the moment! I've given away all the rest as they are "gateway knives" with a pleasing pull, good snap and multiple blade shapes for different jobs. The stockman will have people buying trappers and barlows and everything else in no time!
That is one gorgeous sway back! They really hit it out of the park with the chestnut bone on those.
Not an entry as I have already experienced your generosity.
My knife that I think everyone should try is the Northwoods Presidential. It is just so slim and the spear is wonderfully slim. Oh, and that little wharncliffe secondary is by far my favorite secondary blade. It is indescribably pointy!
My favorite picture of one of my most favorite knife:
Not an entry. Thanks for the very generous GAW. The SBJ is a great knife. If there was one I have that I wish others could experience it'd be the #54 Big Jack. Although a big knife it's comfortable and very capable.
I'd like to be considered thanks! I gave away my own Chestnut SBJ and whilst I don't regret that, it's been impossible to replace here in Europe...
The wonder of Traditionals is that there are SO many appealing patterns you could recommend, but I'm very much in favour or GEC's 83 when you fancy a compact locback.
I'm in, so many to pick from it's hard to choose. Depends on personal taste and intended use. Picture below from recent run of GEC 85's in 2 blade/easy open...
Dan, not an entry since I already have a fabulous swayback jack (thanks, Paul). But accolades to you for your generosity with this GAW!:thumbup: Best wishes to all the entrants; someone's gonna win an exemplary pocket knife!!
Even though this isn't an official entry, I'll post a pic of a knife I wish everyone had a chance to try. This is a carbon steel, olive wood handle Joker that I bought in Valencia, Spain. An incredibly pleasant knife in every possible way!
Man, I've been wanting a CV SBJ forever, great giveaway! I think everybody should try a linerless shadow pattern! Slim, impossible to feel in the pocket. Here's one I put together that I've been carrying for 3 weeks uninterrupted... along with a whittling project to test the pivot...
Thanks for the great GAW, I think everyone should try out the Queen Gunstock in D2 and Birds Eye Maple. The steel puts 1095 and 440c to shame, and the pattern is handsome and comfortable. Mine sees a lot of use!
