Does a man need one? I sure have read alot of good stuff about them. Sounds like that M4 steel is some kinds steel. I have a millie and a para ll. Why would I need a GB? I don't think it will take much proding for me to order one.

Do you like
M4
Carbon fiber
Great F&F
Super smooth action
Solid construction

It appears that the GB blade is a bit thicker than the PM2 blade and maybe a little bit stronger, if anyone thought the PM2 wasn't strong enough.

For me, the Gayle Bradley is the BEST Spyderco ever made. I have owned a lot of them over the past 25 years, and it is simply the best made one yet.

I have two millies, para 1, para 2, etc - but my Gayle Bradley gets more pocket time than all the others combined. It's an outstanding execution of a great design, with an awesome steel.

I've never held a Gayle Bradley, but I cant imagine a better knife than that PM2 if money is no concern.

You don't but you know you want one. ;)

Galye Bradley is the best knife Spyderco ever made, it simply better than Millie/PM2 in almost every aspects except only the rust resistance issue.

I can't see how the GB might be a better slicer than the PM2. Is the blade thinner?

It's hollow ground, but done properly. IMO, it slices better than the PM2 and is of thinner stock (that I can remember, no longer own any PM2s).

To put things into perspective, the only Spyderco folder I still carry to this day is my Gayle Bradley and I've had my fair share of PM2s, Millies, Manixes, Dodos, Enduras, etc. It's the best Spyderco out there (to me, of course). Almost all have been sold off, excluding the Forager and the Civilian.

Cellphone pic with bad lighting does nothing for these knives but here we go anyway. If its going to be a wet environment(fishing/rain/snow) I'll take the pm2, otherwise the GB gets a lot of pocket time.

You're not a man until you have a Gayle Bradley. A lot of people don't know that but it's true;)

Get one. The fit and finish are perfect. It may be the smoothest opening Spyderco I've ever handled. It feels like a rock-solid fixed blade when it is open.

My only complaint is that it is quite a bit heavier than the Para2, which makes it a bit more cumbersome to carry in pocket.

All I can say is that it has replaced several different (and some much more expensive!) folders in my pocket. Thin, fairly light, nice blade design, great steel and good ergonomics. Fit and finish is much better than anyone should expect at this price point. I think I found one of the best all around folding knives for MY pocket.

The GB is the only knife I carried for over a year. For a knife nut, that is saying something! I bought a backup..then one day, I had them both opened and noticed that I had sharpened 1/3 of the steel off. I sold my old friend for 60% of what I paid and now I am in search of another back up. I have owned the PM2 M390, and I just cannot love it.. I think it's the clip and the lock..I know M390 is awesome, but I just prefer the GB by a large margin. For 100.00-110.00 on the exchange, you cannot beat the GB.

I do love the Millie, with a low rider tip up clip equally.

I would rather have 4 GB'S than one large sebbie.. The sebbie rides better, F&F is slightly better.. but NO ONE will ever say it cuts better OR holds an edge longer than an M4 GB!! I have a startac and it gets zero pocket time.. I am going to get a back up GB and call it good.. I have been on this addictive roller coaster, and now that the ride is ending... the GB, Millie and one Dozier folder are going to be the only ones left standing..
