Gear Lessons: Bug Out Bags, Survival Kits, etc.

Monk,

That's the way you and I approach problems, most people don't. They get lazy and they think if they can learn something on the fly, they will be good to go.

Of course they are valuable tools. A crutch is also a valuable tool but it can become something else as well. :D

Rock - I have a Casio Rock from Verizon. This month marks the first anniversary of having it. Awesome phone! I'm not really an Iphone sort of person, I don't care about that sort of thing. What I wanted was a very rugged phone and all the rest of the stuff it can do is gravy on my biscuit. :D

It is the wireless equivalent of a Casio G-Shock. I like that.

i totally agree, but are those the kind of people that would seek refuge or solace in the woods? i dunno, maybe i'm just being naive.

FWIW: i use an htc incredible. it is, quite literally a pocket computer.

No, I think those are the type of people that go up on a mountain in flipflops and with shorts on and then when something bad happens they think the SAS guy on cable TV can get them out of the situation. :D

I am for the most part as well. Except for when they have a child with them or a poor, defenseless dog. :)
