Edit: added picture with a 77 so you know I don't have tiny hands :) (bad lighting pic)

In my view, the single-blade looks a lot better on a smaller frame like this than the Jack version. That Ivory Bone...yes!

Thanks to the kindness of one of our dealers, I was able to acquire a single blade in the heart wood, and I've got to tell you this thing is sweet! The wood is much prettier than the photos make out. It shines like a new penny.....really something.

Last comparison pics for tonight. Hopefully this is helpful (I don't want to flood the thread).

Next to, and on top of an Alox Cadet. I thought the Cadet is a good size comparison. Ironically this is a real boys knife (mine as a kid) next to the #14 Boys Knife.

For those of you that have a single blade and two blade version of the 14, could you please post a pic of them side by side that shows us the difference in thickness?

I ended up enjoying the yellowheart a lot more than I thought I would. It has an almost holographic sort of effect in person. My only concern is there is a large brown splotche on the butt end. It looks like whoever was sanding it down got a little over-zealous and burned the wood there. Can I sand this off?

Nice twat.

So what is your favorite to least favorite 14 and do you prefer the double or single?

I like the single antique smooth yellow. Least favorite is the white smooth bone double.

Thanks. I would agree your antique yellow single is the best of your bunch. It's the darkest I've seen yet. Well done

Interesting your single yellow has the slightest hint of lime color on the end. Mine does too, must be brothers in the dye lot of knife life.
