I waited a bit to get a feel for them. So far I like the lm more than the 65s which is around the same size. I use the secondary more often as its large enough to handle most edc tasks. Used the large blade on some food prep and it has not great. The only thing is if u go that large u might want to grab a modern instead.

And size-wise, I can't say it's really large. It's slim and it helps it to be very comfortable around.
I agree. They're long, but so slim that they rattle around in my larger slips like a hotdog in a hallway. Had to acquire a new long and slim slip just for them. Recycled Pic showing my Church Glass Acrylic 87 with a well-fitting slip. For reference, the slip shown is too slim to accommodate the recent Remington Granddaddy Barlow but is perfect with the 87s.

Non-leather slip, that's an interesting approach! Wish I'd choosen that Northfield version too.

Anyone noted that the center rivet, which serves as an axis for the spring, is unusually flat? I've gone through my other GECs, none of them have any rivets totally flat, all have a mushroom-like head, including the 65. Maybe they tried some new techniques on 87s.
