And hey, I stand for what I say, not for what you hear. I haven't ordered them to make me anything, so there is no "specs of mine".

It caught my eye almost instantly when they released those. I am just wondering if they don't have a longer stamp currently or was it intentional.

Again what is the spec? It's fair to say that it's shorter than others, however how do you know where it is "suppose " to be?

The only "spec" here is a comparison to their other knives. Those little things are what makes GEC a GEC, in my humble opinion, a maker's mark. So if it changes, would be interesting to know why. Man, I wish Randy was on BF.

Edit: Boker, for example, has a long pull half shorter than this on some of their models. That's their style.

Long pulls vary in length on different blades as do the length and style of swedges. Just a different blade design that's all.

Thanks! I got the S&M a few months ago and it cost less than the #87.

I'm not usually one for longer folders, but this is really well put together. The wood keeps the weight down. Everything is tight. Main blade has great action, though the pen is somewhat soft. Really awesome PPP.

I have to say, Crappie71, that with the copperhead bolster on the #65 it would be my pick for hard or extended work.
