I heard GEC made 30 of them. This one came from a recent show where DLT had several of them and lots of other current knives available.

It's the Camel Bone Slipjoint Club 56 in memory of Rob Slaney, an honoured member of SJC, who recently passed away. His favourite GEC pattern was the 56s!

I really like how the black lines come out of the top of that guitar. Reminds me of some 80's MTV video I watched. Just can't remember at this age : )

Wasn’t real keen on the micarta at first, reminded me of an art gum eraser in color and texture. Darkened it a bit and buffed with beeswax, call it faux “Westinghouse oil bath” micarta I guess.

Cool, wood version looks very classy. Do you mean recent 72? Or a 71, like Sudbuster? Anyway, 71 and 72 (and it's other incarnations on bigger and smaller frames) are being made pretty often, you'll surely have another chance on those. 56 is a good choice, if you ask me.
