GEC 25s - Gots 'em?

I finally added a few to the stable;

2017 Pioneer Bone, 2017 OD Micarta, 2008 Inferno Acrylic (#35 OH)

Plus a couple extras - A 2008 UN-X-LD Toenail in Yellow Bone (Sarah can explain the yellow thing...) and a Cripple Creek Toothpick in Burnt Stag. Because, why not? (They were VERY reasonably priced)

I like it when I can find the older ones...

Very nice :) Love that Inferno Acrylic :thumbsup:

Thought I'd read some bedtime stories to the latest batch of WLST's©, not that they need to develop any aspirations to be better than they already are.

GEC Unicorn Ivory, African Blackwood, Polished Stag, Dark Brown Burlap Micarta, Desert Ironwood.

And seeing as I kinda missed the boat on Northwoods Bullet Jacks, I picked up some Little Bays;
Denim Micarta, Giraffe Bone, Light Brown Burlap Micarta, Red Linen Micarta.

I really need to find some Acorns, only have one. And of course, the aforementioned Bullets...

Anyone know if they did this Bocote in a spearpoint, too? If so, I think it’s definitely a #25 that is missing from my life. :D
They may have at some year prior to 2015. However, in 2015 when this one was made, all the Bocote were with a Sheepfoot blade.

Makes sense. I have several spearpoints from the 2015 run, but haven’t seen one in Bocote. Guess that’s why. :D

They made a double blade with a spear in 2008. They have also made clip point and wharncliffe bocote #25s (in case those are also missing in your life) ;)

How did we let this thread fall all the way down to the 12th page?

Great Monday mail call. 1 of 2 Red Jigged Bone from Gunstock Jack's SFO #253115. Thanks @Txjohn! I just need to find the pioneer bone (1 of 5) to complete the set. If you happen to have one that you want to get rid of send me a message. I know.... wishful thinking but one has to try!

It's funny how tastes wax and wane with patterns, as in fashions or fads;) At one time the GEC 25 seemed to hold most posters in a trance, the Peanut was the same, the Lambfoot is the current flavour. All good patterns mind but I've never found myself able to 'commit' to one pattern, too restricting.

The 25 proves its worth due I think, to it suiting several blade styles, having a lot of interesting scale choices and its impudent sturdiness :D

I think with GEC patterns the tide of discussion comes and goes depending on how recently they've produced a run. Haven't seen any new #25's in a couple years, so the discussion/sharing has slowed a bit.
