GEC #340223 Camel Back Congress

While they can differ in final appearance, the unicorns usually look very nice. The only issue I've noticed is sometimes polishing compound can get in the "pores" of the material, leaving tiny black spots.
It's not a deal breaker for me... it's a nice handle material....
I agree. Here’s the two I have with unicorn ivory, ones an S model. Can you figure out which one even with my crappy pic? 😜

issue with the lined bolster on the 25? I also have those 2 and they are my only unicorn acrylic as well. I’ve got a BF 13 but they used “Smooth Ivory Phenolic Laminate Handle” for that.

Sacto Sacto All good, it's a matter of personal taste, just find Wharncliffes better without swedges myself. But the 34s SHOULD be different from each other, just prefer the simpler rendering and better shield. Many will not see it like this
What do you think about the swedge on one side, as many French regional knives have?

I think they both look good for different reasons. Hard for me to pick a favorite. I get what you’re saying about the simplicity. A lot of times I prefer the simple nail nicks vs the long pulls on fancier Northfields.
I really like the centered shield on the ones coming out vs the placement of the BF rendering.
Agreed. The centered shield on that pattern looks good.

Not thought about that ;) probably good depending on the blade I just think straight edges are better unadorned as it were, plus you can pinch them open better sans swedge:thumbsup:

I think the “unicorn ivory” looks good. Something different for sure but the striations in the material give it a nice look. I still prefer bone over acrylic but its growing on me

You like the white acrylic and/or Texcrylic over jigged bone? gonna need to hear why….
Well I have a lot of jigged bone - especially brown/orange.. so this would be something different & welcome. Partial to White/Ivory colour knives, if this were Smooth Ivory Bone, just no contest with Jigged  It suits the unusual frame and the type of shield and its placement is much superior to the proposed Forum Knife (but let's wait & see, you never know what changes could occur yet:D ) This type of knife would look astonishing in an Acrylic made to look like Butter & Molasses Cell.

My views, but others will dissent - fortunately ;)

Camel hair acrylic—brown, orange, black, and tan/yellow ☺️

I’m partial to hummingbird acrylic myself.

Looks like the smoked amber is going to have the Tidioute shield. I’m a fan of acrylic so I’m very interested to see what this texcrylic is all about

Goodlooking the acrylics undoubtedly are, but I can't help wondering whether there will be (Northfield?) versions in natural materials too?
