GEC 38 English Whittler 2021

I am glad Jon posted here, because it's only through his benevolence that a "non-techy" like me has any chance at a new release of GECs. He sold me his extra English Whittler at no profit. I'll be posting pics when it arrives, along with more thanks to Jon!

Woo-hoo! Similar act of benevolence bestowed upon me! For a while there, thought my bloodwood would be an only child!! Many, many, thanks.

You are definitely welcome. I love seeing everyone’s comments of others helping too. That’s the kind of stuff I think of when I hear the term “community”. If I think a knife is awesome I want as many people as possible to enjoy it as well.

Same here, thanks Jake!;) He offered it to me at a price lower than I saw at several dealers. Many thanks, and I will post pics when it arrives.

I think I need a bloodwood to go with my jig bone. The 38 has become my favorite pattern since receiving mine. Such a great package.

you'd be hard pressed to find a knife with more grace and elegance than the 38 in this divided spring whittler form.
I've carried one every day since sharpening it.
I also tested the main blade on an apple.
More than sufficient for apple whittlin'.

I did not expect to love this pattern as much as I do. I believe it is currently my favorite knife.

Can confirm. Apple was no match for my bloodwood today at lunch :D

coming out good so far for my first attempt

John, you really had me! I was about to comment on how much I liked your dark stag, reminiscent of the old stuff and all, when I saw Charlie's revealing post! I was so mesmerized by the stag that I didn't even notice the slender secondaries. Good laugh!:p
