I just noticed today that GEC plans to release a #66 Stockman soon.

I've been waiting quite a while for a smaller Stockman from GEC and I'm pretty doggone happy about it! Might have to get a couple of them.

Just wanted to share my enthusiasm.

Lol...good on you Rick, I dont know much about that one..so im going off to have a look

It's the 3 blade Calf Roper at the bottom.

One of my favorite dealers makes casual mention that it's a Stockman which is where I got my assumption.

Actually all three sound great, dead skunk...that is such a cool pattern, of course jigged bone and Ebony!!...which ones are you going to go for Rick?

Primitive Bone for sure when the Nortfields come out. (not yet listed on GEC's website).

If I do get another one it will be either a Tidioute Ebony or a Northfield Cocobolo.

This could make a very worthwhile compact Stockman.

It would make an exceptional one if they retained the Pen blade from the Jack instead of the usual Spey.

Splitter, if they make it with the muskrat clip so the sheepfoot can have the pull on the mark side, with the pen third blade (or punch) instead of spey, it would be the ultimate medium stockman. Like this in primitive bone it would be "the nuts!"

I would have never thought of that but now that you mentioned it, heck yeah! Especially the punch instead of spey. I might need 3 of them if they do that.:D

I wonder about the whaler anniversary, a kinda CLASP 5-6" folder? GEC loves big hefty knifes :D from what I've seen

Yeah, it will be interesting to see what GEC has in store for us with that one. I have no idea really but your guess sounds like something GEC would do.

I envision a larger, more robust version of Case's 99 Whaler pattern but with that unique GEC personality. I could be way off though.

It just occured to me while typing this that although I sometimes get a little frustrated with GEC's production schedule, it's also fun to anticipate upcoming patterns like this Whaler in which we know the name but have only clues about its actual design.
I had a blast trying to guess what the #33 Conductor was going to look like.

I am looking forward to this design as well. I like the big'n beefy GEC offerings, especially of the Northfield line.

I would especially like to see it offered with a lanyard hole and lockback configuration.

Stockman.

Good.

Initiating targeting sequence.
