Up for sale are some older Great Eastern Cutlery #73 scouts. All knives are LNIT with maybe a few handling marks, unless specified otherwise.
The #73 is my favorite pattern from GEC, but I have to let these knives go. Prices include USPS Shipping. Addition photos available on request.
I can now except payment via Paypal. Any questions are welcomed! some prices are negotiable, so don't be afraid to make an offer. May consider trades for other GEC branded knives, but it would have to be the right knife!
First is a 2006 #73 with Herring Jig bone.1095 carbon steel blades. Serialized 209 of 250. Sold.
I really like the Jig and Dye on this one, reminds me of deer prints in the mud!
There is some slight "rapping" on the spey blade, a problem a lot of the older GEC #73 and #23s seemed to have.
Next is a 2007 #73 Great Easter Branded knife, with Green Tea and Rodgers Jig bone, 440C stainless steel blades. 115 of 250. $75.00
This knife was bought with the intention of using it. I immediately sharped the main drop point blade using a Lansky sharpening system. The factory edge was extremely wirey and took a bit of work. The spey still has the factory edge with some more severe "rapping".
My edge.
A 2007 #73 Tidioute with a drop pointish blade, it's almost like GEC's spey with a rounded tip. 1095 carbon steel blade. Smooth ivory bone scales. 050 of 250. Sold.
The nock on this one is the backspring sits up a bit high when fully open.
Another 2007 Tidioute #73 Scout with Green River Jig bone scales. 1095 carbon steel blades. 215 of 250. Sold.
The dye is a really deep dark forresty green. Reminds me of a Pine Grove at first light!
Thanks for your time
