I received this #92 Talon in Moss Green Jigged bone as a gift, and though it is an extremely nice knife and I have carried/used it some, I have decided to give it away. If there ever was a knife with a needle tip, this is it, and it just glides through cardboard. Seems like it'd be a great leather knife too.

Here it is:

EDIT: I'm adding a second prize, a set of handmade fixed blades. I recently won three of member BluntCut's handmade fixed blades in his giveaway, and have decided to keep one and pass the other two on. They do not come with sheaths, but I'll tell you they are extremely ergonomic.

Rules:

1. If you are entering, say "I'm in" or the like, and if you aren't entering but only commenting say something to that effect.
2. Please tell me what traditional knife you first bought for yourself.
3. Please don't enter if you have received more than 3 knives as gifts (giveaways, pay it forwards, etc., etc.), I'd like people who don't often receive knives to have a better chance.
4. Only enter if you have participated in the traditional forum. I'm not setting a post limit, but I may check to see if your only posts are "I'm in" and the like.
5. Only enter once.

Good luck!

I'm in, usually don't partake in these, but you are a fellow PA guy so it would be cool. First one was a Schrade LB7. Thanks!

That's a beautiful Talon; thanks for your generosity! The first traditional knife that I bought for myself was a SAK when I was about 10 years old. I recently got back into traditionals, and my first since being re-introduced to slip joints was a Washington Jack in cocobolo. I'm definitely in.

Not an entry, but this is a fantastic gesture! Good on you, buddy!

The first traditional I ever bought myself was a Chinese Buck 110 knockoff from a bait and tackle shop in Peterborough, Ontario. I was there on a fishing trip with my dad. I believe I was 8 years old at the time!

Lovely knife,my first was a sak pocket pal, thanks for the comp.

I'm in. I first bought a 5th Generation Bulldog Trapper with Buffalo Horn scales. Feels solid in hand and still one of my favorites.

I'm in please ! The fist traditional knife I bought for myself was a Camillus sailors knife with the single blade and the marlin spike for getting knots undone .
I'm quite new to collecting and carrying tradition knives but have picked up a couple lately and this one would be a great addition .

Thanks for the give away

I haven't entered too many giveaways lately... To be honest, I haven't been on the forum as much as I'd like of late. Life and family and work and illness and the like. But that is a frame I've been really wanting to try, and I have long adored the green bone from afar. I'm in!

The first traditional I bought for myself was a 54 frame moose, which still gets carried as a small game hunting knife.

Thanks for the opportunity!

I'm in. Thank you for the chance.
If memory serves, the first "real" traditional folding knife I bought was an Old Timer OT8. I know I had it back in Jr. High, and high school. (Carried the OT8 in Jr. High and High School; it was legal then). Before that I had a Camillus "Demo" knife my uncle gave me when I joined the Cub Scouts. I still love that style/pattern knife.
The first fixed blade traditional knife I bought was a Western L66, with stacked leather handle, around the same time I bought the OT8.

I'm in. Thank you for the generous offer. My first traditional was an Ulster Boy Scout knife my Dad gave me 50 years ago and I still have it. The first one i bought myself was a Schrade Stockman back in 1968 I believe.

I'm in, thanks for the opportunity!

My first was a scout knife that I, in my youthful vigor, promptly sharpened to death. I'm still gun-shy around sharpening stones!

I'm in.

The first knife I can remember vividly is an EdgeMark upswept hunter in stag with aluminum pommel and guard. Back in the day you could wear a sheath knife without attracting a lot of attention.

those for years. Now I mix it up.
