I'm in please! First traditional knife I bought for myself was a case trapper with red handles. I bought it because I thought the bone color was nice .i never owned a traditional prior to that
I'm not in, thankyou very much, however, for your generosity. The sharing that goes on in this forum is a part of what makes it special.
My first traditional was probably some cheap Chinese knockoff SAK gifted to me on a birthday I can't remember. But at my rebirth as a traditional knife Knut the first knife I bought was a yeller Delrin Case trapper in CV.
Very generous of you, I'm in. I believe my first pocketknife that I bought for myself was a trapper like my Grandads, an Old Timer. Wish I had it now.
Thanks much and Peace
I'm in. I've purchased several SAKs and similar knives over the years, but re-kindled my interest with a GEC 85 bullet-end jack a few short years back.
Not an entry but a "Thank You" for a great GAW:thumbup:
I can't remember my first knife but I do remember the first knife I bought with my own money. A new 1970 CASE 62087 & still own it to this day:thumbup:
I'm in...thank you. My first traditional was an inexpensive Barlow purchased at a Cub Scout day camp (in the 70's). Really wish I still had it. My son purchased one that looked just like it on his first day camp. I had not yet told him my story, but I was proud to have a chip off the old block.
Not an entry. I just wanted to say thank you for the generous GAW. Beautiful knives, and awesome idea of sending them to people that haven't yet been recipients of the awesome generosity of this forum.
The first traditional I bought myself was this Winchester knockoff of the Buck design:
I carried it every day for over 7 years before I discovered the joy of carrying a quality knife. It hasn't seen any use since.
Dang .That's a good looking GEC. The fixed blades look great too. I'd be in for either. Curious what steel is on the fixed blades? My first traditional knife I bought that I can remember is a Kabar 1152 I believe. I don't have alot of traditionals but have a GEC 99 and Kabar Coppersmith Dogs Head small that are the two better ones I have. Thanks for the chance.
Thank you for the giveaway. I've been missing a wharncliff from my edc ever since I lost my viper. Im in.
I think my first traditional knife was a large rough rider trapper. It made me realize 4 1/4" was too big a traditional knife for me.
My first traditional purchase and the beginning of my collection is a 2013 Remington R1303-D "The Forester" Bullet Knife. I was hot on lockbacks and Damascus steel back then. I have since refined my preferences. I don't even display it any longer.
Awesome idea Logan my first traditional was a case small stockman. count me in for the fixed blades but you know I'm out on the 92 since I'm the one who gifted it to you lol.
I'm in and my first was a Buck 110 purchased in the early 70's. Fast forward to 2014 and added a Sod Buster Jr and have a Northwoods Indian River Jack on the way.
