GEC ACORNS! (stainless) Reference list!

GEC called it the "Fishtail"! They also did a two-blade with a scaler/disgorger, and called it a Fish knife!!
Interesting - when I think of a fishing knife, I think of a toothpick with a scaler blade.
I really like that fishtail butt - it reminds me of some lovely Renaissance Italian arming swords with fishtail pommels.

I regret giving the reclaimed barn oak away to a “friend”, and regret selling the other…now I’m sad

I think the acorn elk knives are some of the best ever made by GEC. Classy and elegant and getting hard to find.
I may now have every pattern in every blade configuration that GEC has made.

Why did I collect them? I started my son hunting squirrels when he was a little kid. Years later we couldn't wait until elk season to head west and hunt them. What better way to remember those days than fondle a knife with squirrels on the blade and handles made from elk horn. The acorn just is a symbol of the importance of all this for us.

Thanks to GEC for all the memories and for the fun of knife collecting.
