GEC ACORNS! (stainless) Reference list!

R rd7fox Agree about the Acorn American Elk, I don't have any in my collection but would fancy a White Owl in it.

I’ve never seen this thread! Glad it was revived. Fantastic. The acorn is visually my favorite GEC shield, and stainless bonus. I’ll one day grab an acorn 33. Some day!

Why did I collect them? I started my son hunting squirrels when he was a little kid. Years later we couldn't wait until elk season to head west and hunt them. What better way to remember those days than fondle a knife with squirrels on the blade and handles made from elk horn. The acorn just is a symbol of the importance of all this for us.

That is a great story. My daughter took a bull elk for her 13th birthday. Memories indeed.
 
Rishma, you helped with a great gift to your daughter, a lifelong memory of getting her bull elk. That's priceless.
She's ahead of me. I've tagged 2 cows hoping one day to have enough preference points to get a decent unit and hire a guide and go after a bull with my son.
