GEC Exec whittler review

i've had enough of this guy. everything possible has been offered to correct the situation & he's still crying. shut up & return the knife bawl baby.

Geeee, is it OK with you if I had my dinner and wasn't watching the thread???
Kindly mind your own damned business. I realize that Mike is a good guy, that's why my only complaint to him was about the charges and the reason I did NOT say who I purchased the knife from. I will deal with Mike, and YOU can "shut up".

Seems like the only one pissed off and snotty is you. The "I say I am tired of your crap" posts just aren't helpful. If you have had enough, quit reading the thread. Personalizing things like this (especially if you have no dog in the fight) is how these threads and this forum goes wrong.

While you have had enough, Mike (who actually does have a dog in the fight) continues to try to work it out with patience and professionalism.

You have a great chance here Pipeman to get your problem resolved. Mike is top flight the whole way, and having bought a few knives from him, he has taken care of any reasonable problem quickly. If you give him a chance, he will go out of his way, as you can see by offering to eat the nasty shipping charges.

Doesn't get any better than that. I think it's your move....

Robert

Thanks Robert, I realize that Mike is a good guy and will deal with him.

Best regards

Robin

perhaps i ruffled some one's feathers, however this is a forum & i will voice my opinion. if thats' not acceptable do'nt read my posts.i certainly think everything possible was done to remedy the purchase, to keep beating a dead dog only wastes time.

Guys,

I am not going to take sides here. Nor am I going to tolerate one more post from either of you that is personal. Enough.

You can count on me not letting you degrade this forum with these types of posts. Take it offline. NOW.

It is more than possible to post opinions with respect here. We have done that for years and you can count on that to continue.

I advise everyone to keep the personal stuff out of the Traditional Forum. Do not test me on this. The results will not be good.

I do not like closing threads. Post facts and opinions with respect towards others is what we are about here. That is not going to change.

You're damed right you ruffled my feathers. If you want to mouth off, DON'T post in my thread. You may have noticed that Mike LAST post was the one he made a fairish offer which came after your stupid comments about me personally. You are the one wasting everyones time, I simply posted about a knife that is defective.

Don't know if this is a typo or what, but just to clarify that my "fairish offer" was not "after" Dennis' aggravation set in. No sense getting carried away; it is just a knife.

Every collector / user has different expectations and different requirements. One man's defect is another man's perfect and vice versa. I see it here and elsewhere every day. That is why initiating this type of thread before trying to resolve it offline is not advantageous. I am just not smart enough to keep my mouth shut and let 30 people pile on telling him that those are all factory defects and it needs to be sent back to the incompetent dealer (ok, I may have embellished a little, but it was about me). Dealers and makers are proud of their products and not only do not want anyone disappointed, but don't want them in the hands of someone that is not happy. A positive thread will nudge 5 people to try a product; a negative will have the opposite effect on 20 people (I don't have the science to prove that last statistic). I have sold knives as "near mint" that the buyer contacted me to tell me I was crazy for downgrading the knife; and I have had customers that were shocked an obviously defective knife was shipped out of the factory that once they got it back at the factory could not find an issue whatsoever and shipped it back out to another customer that was tickled pink. It's like Bull Durham, don't think - just pitch, don't think - just pitch.

You cannot figure out what will be satisfactory to one man over the other and there is no sense trying. Just check them, ship them, guarantee them, and if there is a problem, refund them. It's not personal, it's just stuff. And our goal is to make sure everyone is happy (without going bankrupt). ;)

Thanks Mike, I will consider what you have offered and get back to you shortly by email.

I guess I did not make myself clear enough . Infraction issued.

Pull this stunt again in traditional and you will not have the chance to do it again.

Actually, what happened was, I opened a reply page to reply to Dennis, prior to your post to Both of us, and got a phone call, so I didn't see your post to Both of us until much later. Oh well, sorry. Did the first punch get an infraction too?
Could you lock this please, I can't being a registered member.

I'm hoping it is not locked, and Scarlett will come back to serve breakfast.

Not a valid excuse. You could have gone back and edited your post once you saw my clear warning and you made the choice not to do so.
You got the infraction after a clear warning was issued. One chose to stop, you made the choice to continue. If you think your behavior was justified. I suggest you leave this forum now. A child can see that you were out of line after the warning was made. You admitted you saw the warning. Had you gone back and edited your disrepectful post you would have not had the infraction. You made the decision to leave it.

Care to continue? If so you will be banned.

I am getting very tired of your antics. I suggest you turn your behavior around should you wish to continue posting here.
I do not lock threads, but I will continue to infract your poor behavior.

Is it just me or is anyone else mesmerized by the chain reaction her left arm causes when putting the popcorn in her mouth?

I'm mesmerized by her far off look in the eye and tremendous co-ordination skills, the bag never empties,if life were only like that:D

Gentlemen, I hope all parties are now satisfied by the outcome of this thread, All Quiet on the Traditional Front:thumbup:

I just want everyone to know that I have no problem with Mike who is a great guy and an honest dealer. I have contacted Mike regarding the knife and forwarded my comments to him hopefully to be sent on the GEC.

Best regards

Robin
