I cannot respond to your success and do not doubt it whatsoever. USPS Priority to Canada or Europe had a very high failure rate for me. Empty boxes with customs tape on them or no boxes at all would arrive often enough that it was a money losing situation for most dealers (as I mention, these conversations can be found in the relevant locations of this very forum). But with International Express (which is very expensive) the package carries insurance and is handled in a fashion that it fast-tracks thru customs and is not worth the hassle of an investigation to tamper with. Regardless, the shipping cost was discussed and found not to be a problem by the buyer.
Now I can understand if that leaves a bad taste in your mouth, but it is not something to go straight to a public forum with before giving anyone a chance to discuss your concerns. But if you are not happy with the knife, pack that dude back up and send it back to me for a refund; or the factory to see if they can fix it physically to suit you (if they can't we will still issue a refund). No sense having a knife that bothers you every time you look at it.

moonwilson, look at your knife from the side under good light and see if you do not see where the swirls meet in the acrylic. I caught a glance of one originally and thought it was a crack; but realized what it was and have noticed it on every swirled acrylic variant.

I can echo Mike's shipping information.
International Flat Rate Priority Mail, envelope or Small Flat Rate Box, is nothing more than First Class, and if something happens between here and Canada, the USPS will do absolutely nothing if the item is lost or stolen. Even though you get a tracking number when you print the label on the Small Box option, it does not mean squat. There is no tracking, which invites customs and postal employees to just take it.
The only way USPS will track and insure the contents on a shipment to Canada is to:
A) Send USPS Priority International Medium Box (26.95) or Large Box (33.95)
B) USPS Express Mail® International Flat Rate Envelope (33.95)
These methods are tracked and insured.
I recently had a lost shipment and learned the hard way. The cheaper shipping method is good until someone in Canada decides to hijack the delivery, then the seller has to eat it.
