GEC Fire Fighter

My father, an IAFF firefighter for 20 years, would love one of these. Fire hose for the handle material is a great idea.

That looks sweet fod!

I love how reptilian it turned out.

Darn nice work from GEC too, especially housing it in that model.

The word on the shield is that it would have to be a St. Florian's cross stamped into a circle. The concave curves will be too difficult to router.

Maybe it should be the SF cross stamped into the bolster, either a Barlow, or a decorative center bolster like Case does on some of their knives.

I sent a note to GEC asking about the possibility of a custom bolster instead of a shield. However, I wonder if there would be less interest in a SFO barlow, since Waynorth seems to be keeping everyone pretty well supplied in that area.

I think a unique Barlow will always be popular, but I also Was thinking about the Regal Stag knives from Case. I gave one like this to my brother-in-law:

Case made a lot of different models like this, from jacks to canoes. My idea was to replace the XX crown stamp with your St. Florian's cross. Just an idea, thinking there must be lots of possibilities in addition to a typical shield.
