These folk had nothing but contempt for the cattle that they were forced to eat or starve, but you can bet they could RIDE and harvest their own REAL food. Sioux (Large).jpg

I’m in! I just have to say, this is one of the most interesting GAW’s in a long time, good luck everyone.

How can you forget this guy? Definitely on the soft side of the cowboy spectrum.... 3A18ED43-AA49-4137-9238-6418C529C2EF.jpeg

I appreciate the generosity and it's sure a nice looking knife.
Not sure I'd carry l a knife this size however, so this is not an entry.

Please note, I've edited my first post.
If my name is chosen, please pass on the knife to my fellow Cowboy Friend, @mitch4ging (Dennis). :)

Another favorite cowboy of mine is rodeo world champion, stuntman and actor Ben Johnson.

And shown here whittling with fellow cowboy actor Ward Bond.

This was signed by Ben Johnson, although the signature has faded. It was given to my oldest son many years ago by my father-in-law. My son left it behind, and I found it in my garage. It's hanging in my office now. It's a scene from one of my favorites: She Wore a Yellow Ribbon.

In 1953 my Folks found me fast asleep at 0700 under the Christmas tree. I had gotten up at 0400 and found the Roy Rogers set of tiny little rubber guys and gals and horses and fences and cows and sixguns-- OH MY!

Not an entry but I wanted to say thank you for your generosity and I am enjoying all the cowboy posts  I think you will find hosting GAWs rather addictive :) Here on the Porch, they are also a great way to get to know everyone and it gives you a great platform to interact.
