Two Tidioutes: 38 Farmer's Jack in Camelbone , 78 in Micarta.

I handled that beast at Badger last year. They could issue that sucker to every Infantryman and ditch the entrenching tool. That thing is no joke.

You could flip pancakes with that blade. Hell, you could cook a pancake on it if it wouldn’t ruin the heat treat. 😁

Here’s the 46 with a 36 (I wish I had a single spear 36 to compare it to, but the big ol’ sheepsfoot is kinda cool, too, and was much easier to acquire).

Great shot, any chance of 86 and 77 with blade out.thanks,I guess I'm a choosy beggar lol

No worries, I can do that. It’ll probably be tomorrow before I can get a pic. Do you have a preference of blade shape? I think I’ve got at least one spear, clip and sheepsfoot in both patterns.

Very nice lineup, Barrett! 😍
Barrett, this picture is so good! Not just the comparison, but the comparison against that book.

Thanks guys!

78 and 77 (Forum Knife 2014) not much difference really except bolster treatment? Blades are of course different .

I think the only real difference between those is the shape of that top bolster, round on the #78 and more squared off on the #77.

Jakeywax31 Jakeywax31 Thanks, I was lucky with the Stag on this one, the mark side is less grooved but still lot of character. It survived a week out in the rain at my country place! Slow drying and it reverted to shape but it looked bloated and horrible when I found it (left on a well head and went in to talk on the phone...) Still don't really understand why GEC have this 77/78 thing as they are the same apart from top bolster, maybe 77 was reserved for the Forum Knife 14 as it was first of its kind? If you get the chance of one, have at it , you won't be disappointed :)

A lot of their patterns could be condensed if I’m being honest. Glad the stag sorted itself out!! That is a lovely knife. I have had a couple opportunities at it but been too slow. I am just as good admiring from afar. Have a nice day, Will.
