Would you guys still go if you knew you would miss the tour opportunity?
The real treat of the whole rendezvous experience is meeting the other collectors. I honestly wouldn't be worried about missing out on any of the events, knives, or tours. As long as you get a chance to sit and shoot the breeze with the other people that came in you're getting the best of what the weekend has to offer.
Confirmed my room today, Donna and I will be at Cross Creek Wednesday afternoon, would like to get together for dinner and drinks with everyone else that will be there that night, the buffet at Cross Creek is pretty good.
We did the tour last year, and honestly I think that the videos are better than the real thing. We were far enough away and looking through glass, so it wasn't really any different than watching a screen. There is one part where you're actually in the room, and that was neat. Other than that the videos show the same stuff, but with a better view. I thought Queen's tour was much more fun. They let us go on the actual work floor and look over the workers' shoulders as they made the knives. We also had a chance to chat with the workers at each station and ask them questions.

You can have the one I bring, Duncan. I actually ordered another. I get a great deal as a long-time subscriber.

On the plus side, I can bring all my knives without worry. I will bring my guitar and fishing rods while I am at it. Any fish in oil creek?
A bunch of us staying at CrossCreek eat together on Friday night in their restaurant, and spend the evening showing off and discussing/trading knives afterward. They offer a buffet which is quite good IMO. And it is open to all!

Are there dates for a Rendezvous next year, or is it every 2 years?
