GEC Toothpicks

The guitar sheild on that one is pretty cool  their toothpick is pretty substantial looking, I like that.

eliot i'm not big on this pattern but members pics have started to get me interested. have to admit all those curves are sexy. for the trappers & small game people this is a viable alternative. love the muskrat but 1 blade easier to clean. makes a good sunday knife also.think i will study these a little more. if i jump will have to have a wood & bright bone both.

I'm still on the fence on this one for some reason...(probably wouldn't take that much to push me over though...:p)

Rob, you're a bad, bad man...but I'm still holding fast...(so far) ;)

You might as well Elliot, just to say you have one. I thought that about the canoe pattern, now I love the pattern.

If you ever see me purchase (another) canoe you'll know the end of days is at hand.:p
(I've given away as gifts the last ones I owned. They're just not for me.)

(Now the toothpick...hmmm...I just dunno...(yet) ;)

Very early on I had a Guttman Canoe so It might be I have a soft spot for them. I still haven't figured out what they're used for, except maybe a rope knife, sort of like a small toenail.
I'm not crazy for the way the case ones look, but the Queen with the acorn shield and blue blades just set it off.I like the single backspring. I have a thing for that too.

I like single backsprings as well but there are several other options I prefer. (But let's not sidetrack this thread. And, of course, the fact that the canoe pattern is not for me is not meant to disparage the pattern.)

Now...back to toothpicks before we go further afield.

I too am not a big toothpick fan but know that its a lot different once the knife is in your hand (as is my experience with the canoe pattern, as I now am very fond of it). I like GEC stuff too. I'm not a follower by a long shot but Elliot if you go for it, well I'll trip the trigger on one too:eek:

Wow, this is a heavy burden I must bear...let me ruminate a while...

navihawk: Well just get it then and if you don't like it send it to me.

Fellas, I think you may have to make the trip down this road without me. I'm gonna hunt down a pattern that's a bit more of my style and that I won't have to talk myself into. :p

Elliot, whew! Its all good, actually, right now I need a new knife like I need a hole in the head lol, thanks for toeing the line:D:thumbup:

Oh, I didn't say there might not be something else I have my eye on...;)

I have been eyeing up this pattern since they came out, especially the version in burnt stag just 'cause i've never had a stag handled knife. Well, I finally broke down and ordered one and it arrived yesterday. All I can saw is wow. It looks great! There is a lot of figure to the stag and this knife is just the right size for what I've been looking for. This is my second GEC knife and I was very happy that this one was much easier to open than the stout springs and half stops of the other one. And here are a few pics.
