GEC Value

yup, the same group of flippers usually. i think they still trawl here to dump in the facebook groups and ebay as well. there was some discussion on how the scalpers at the rendeznvous bought quite a sum of knives on saturday. they end up in the flipper "auctions" in that facebook group. so many rendezvous knives went there. Some dealers just skip the middle man these days and just go straight to ebay. lets see how it goes when the economy turns. The factory store had to raise its prices too to compensate. Its a shame more of the revenue isnt going back to the factory.

I should sell most of them off while they still bring a good price.

I’m no spring chicken either and I keep planning to sell most of my knives so my wife isn’t stuck with them. Now is the best time because we never know when the Grim Reaper might show up. If we keep procrastinating, our wives will end up with a slew of knives which is exactly what we want to avoid.

I need to do a major sell off but it’s hard to get that ball rolling. Boxing up all the knives and going to the post office umpteen times is mostly what’s holding me back.

But that’s the thing. If I don’t want to do it then my wife sure as heck won’t want to either.

Good point Railsplitter. When I do sell a duplicate it just goes back into more GECs. It's a fun hobby. As far as my wife is concerned she won't have to deal with them if I unexpectedly croak as I have explained the knife collection to my son pretty well and he is much smarter than me so I am not worried. I just collect the patterns I like and some of them that other folks think are great are not always to my liking. If I can catch a extra on a drop and trade it to someone who has something I am looking for that they probably got for much less, everyone wins. GEC does a great job on their knives ( and marketing too lol).
