RosesKunk,

That' the 98 I want....Where can I get one exactly like that? That is the shield that belongs with this monster...Love it

Here are a few good #53 Cubans you don't see often, as they made VERY few of them.

From the top, down: 2011 burnt stag (11 made), 2007 pond bone (13), 2008 caribou stag (10), 2011 ancient kauri wood (4)

And as a good trivia question, the caribou stag is the only Tidioute branded 1st cut stag folder they ever made (please correct me if you know otherwise!).

I like that wood one....
Not sure the size of those, but it's hard for me to carry a big knife unless it's in a sheath, my bull nose I have to carry in a sheath.., it's my EDC .., great work knife, in 01 tool steel.

I love a Cuban, they fit great in watch pockets, in an orientation that allows you to whisk out and have them ready to open whatever blade you need. They are hefty, not too much for the size but because of their size, but nothing that drags anything I wear down. I don't notice it in sweats, pajamas, or slacks. Mine has a pocket slip to keep the acrylic purdy.

Shown with its curvy Case cousin.

Jeff, I never get tired of seeing that Pond Bone. That's a keeper if I ever saw one!

Hi Guys,

Waiting like a little boy today for my new Top Dog! WOW the 98 Camp Knife is quite a piece of engineering and well deserving IMO of what I have read and watched. This is just an Awesome knife;)
I also would like to Thank T.Willy for working with me a deal that was more than fair. A another stand up BF member who I would love to business again. Thanks Trevor!

The first time I caught sight of GEC's wide-bladed Big Boys, I found them absurd, comical, ridiculous.

Somewhere along the line, I began to like them, and-- much to my surprise-- determined them to be oddly compelling and desirable (even if absurd and comical, possibly ridiculous).

My first of my Big Boys, a #36 Sunfish:

Nail nick and long pull (a redundancy I initially thought So Wrong on a blade, but which became exactly what I wanted when I sought a Sunfish), stamped blade, deep deep jigging:

Here it is with two 3" patterns for comparison, swimming Sunfish:

The funny thing being, the bolstered #36 Sunfish in its my-biggest-yet size is thinner than a 3" bareheaded #25!

I was so tickled by the expanse of steel, I attempted a customized patina on the back of the blade:

All told, a surprisingly slim carry, and a favorite useful blade!
