Gec's best!!!

I'll second the Conductor.
I wish they would focus on a few more "pocket friendly" models.
Most of their knives are kind of chunky. That's not a bad thing, but they could use a few slimmer models IMHO.

The bolsters are silver, need a better camera.

Beautiful looking knife.

Another vote for the #66 frame.
I do now own Andi's jack version, but I do love my HJ #66: the sort of "chisel edge leather punch" works great for dirty tasks, leaving the clip for regular cuts. The handle fits my hand, and it doesn't bother the least in my pocket.
There are other patterns that catch my eye though, like the #76 outlaw, but I can only speak of the ones I have handled, and the #66 wins for me :)

Doug - you won´t be disappointed in any way... I saw your work on the rehandling of this old Camillus Jack. Really a nice work :)

The #66 Serpentine Jack is a very good example of a historic pattern that has been there a long time before. Trust me, Doug - you´re gonna love it.

Thanks Andi, can't wait. The rehandle of the Camillus was not my work, BF member glennbad did that amazing restoration for me. All I did was supply the raw materials. He provided the artisan craftsmanship.

I can't choose just one...
My 66 calf roper in stag was my first GEC and has definitely seen the most use.

The #53 for heavier carry and the #85 for lighter carry! I never can really decide which one I prefer!

The GEC that suits me best. Light, thin, handy, and easy in the pocket.

It's hard to decide, but in the end this one gets my vote (pro-tem....)

I really like that Micarta version must try and get one. The Conductor gives you a lot of blade in a sleek frame.

BUT I'm very keen on 25, 56, 68, 73, and others:D:D

Nice thread, great pic's

Lovely #85 Bogg's, making me miss mine (gifted to a friend).

It comes down to these three...

Scagel Fruitport, my choice for the weekend. GEC built with a convex grind by Bark River

#76 Outlaw jack, I'd not been drawn to this pattern before but I couldn't resist this one. Glad I couldn't because it's giving my Fruitport a run for its money. Packs a lot of blade for its size, very user friendly and is the best made GEC I've had so far.

I can't pick a particular pattern. I have a few that I like depending on what I'm feeling like carrying. The #48 Jack, #33, and #73 single blade tend to be my favorites for daily, office edc, and work tasks. I really like the #66 Jack, #53 Stockman, and #85 Jacks as well.
Here's a pic with the #73, #48 Jack and #33. I've swapped the #48 Jack for my modded one with the thin clip and I've been carrying my Tortoise shell acrylic #33 in place of the elk (elk still gets carried on rainy days though).

GEC's best in my collection is my Scagel Elephant Ivory Fruitport. No other GEC exudes the same level of excellence, nobility and classic styling.

Best GEC as far as EDC in my collection:

Thanks Will. That and the Stonewashed Blue lockback are two of my favorites.

Great collection ED! I really like the linerocks and lockbacks, the #66, and the The montana whittler. Heck, the powderhorns and conductor look great as well!

I can see how collecting GEC knives can become addictive.

Some fine looking knives.
I think the executive whittler is still my favorite.

I also have a Fruitport but that Ez Pull in ebony is amazing!!

#12 Powder Horn for me; I like the semi-serpentine handle shape, and the abalone looking-glass scales make it a great special occasion, Sunday-go-to-meetin' knife.

There are a lot of GEC's on my want list, but I think this #12 will be in my collection for life.
