GeeGee's bk11 is DONE! even more pics

Thanks guys and I'm glad you like it geegee. I don't own a drill press so I brought it to work today and now the holes are drilled and the other scale is epoxied and clamped. Its gonna look great.

Btw if anyone wants to try this etch let me know and ill write an in depth how to since I left some stuff out for the sake of time and space.

I'll say it first, please write this up. I have several blades that would look great with this treatment.

Not a problem. I will write it up tonight and post it with the final pics

Dammit. Just pulled off the clamps and I'm looking at it and now I'm pissed at myself. I should have added white liners to make it really pop. Damn hind sight is 20/20

It still looks great without the liners, brother. Don't be too hard on yourself, you did a great job.

Thanks I know it'll still be cool but just like every other project, ya always think of ways to improve it. Next time ill put liners on.

To everyone interested in a write up, I've decided to do it again on another blade and show instead of tell, so I will do it and take pics along the way and outline it. Dunno if I'll start it tonight since I gotta get this one done, but I will start a new thread and post the link here with all the info. Next up, my beloved bk5. I got an idea for a cool pattern for my baby.

that's one of my problems, I am making my own scales and I don't want to glue it on in case I want to change it. Off to ace hardware, hopefully they have the hardware.
Looks great, that patina is awe inspiring.

Ok shes done. I hope you like her geegee.....

and she still fits in the sheath, although i noticed the sheath is molded for a unmodded bk11 with the original guard so the retention aint the greatest. Maybe have a bender remold it for ya, i would but i SUCK at sheath making

Hell yeah! :D

Cody, that turned out great. My only expectation was that the finish on the necker would be close to the Crewman, so mission accomplished there. And needless to say, since it's a Becker it's gonna get used. I can't afford safe queens, so this bad boy will soon be hanging off my neck. I really appreciate you taking on this project as well as all the time you put into it. You've got skills bro, mad skills! ;)

Many thanks.

That came out real nice bro, damn nice mods....

Now quit wearing out my patch in all those pics sucker

Ha, its really only because its my only moveable neutral background. We got that low ambient lighting in my house and that dont make for good pics.
That came out nice! I suck at making scales, I can never get the contours just right.
Yeh im no Andy Roy so it definitely has its flaws but it feels real good in hand.
