Looks like a beautiful area Kakefat. Did you have a trail of some sort to hike on or did you have to trudge through a bunch of snow?

probably to DHS, no ones allowed to let their kids just be kids anymore without it being questioned, God forbid you correct them for misbehavior and are seen by the public scolding your child with a stern voice... one could be hung for such things..

Yea i fully believe in SPANKING.... Way more kids need there asses whipped these days... I have spanked my son in public and had a man and women look at me crazy and tell me i shouldnt do that... I told them unless they want to be next they better shut there mouth and let me parent my kids my way. I cant spank my daughter but thats because she is a girl.I just dont feel ok with it.. but my son will get his little hiney or his hand reddened when he wants to act like he is the boss or like he forgot what respect is.

Damn right.
Those same parents have kids who run amok because they lack discipline. Reason and privilege revocations only go so far with children, whose logical minds are not fully developed. I was spanked only once or twice as a child, quite young, and I learned who was boss. Pretty much kids control their parents for the first couple years because of basic survival necessity and lack of communication skills, but then it has to be made clear what the roles are. i.e. "now that you're old enough to understand what I'm saying, you have to listen!"
 
I agree. Most parents now are scared shitless to spank (discipline) their kids because the "might hurt them" or "it's not right". My dad never spanked me but he he was pisses off at you and wanted to teach you a lesson he didn't even have to come close to you. HURRY SOMEONE CALL DCFS!!!!


And happy Easter everybody. There's a nice turkey in the oven and a ham in the fridge for later.

Spare the rod, spoil the child. I was spanked, and came out better for it. In all honestly, looking back, I needed far more than I got!
 
Spanking teaches that there are consequences for behavior, so do rewards. I teach my little one that there are consequences for both Good and Bad behavior.
The good ones she likes, the bad ones not so much, and we give her a choice. Does she want to behave badly and suffer the consequences, or behave well and get those positive consequences instead.
Every kid eventually learns that they can choose to behave however they want despite what their parents say, so we are teaching her that she can choose whatever she wants, but there will always be responsibilities with those choices.
Seems to be working.
 
My children just colored eggs. By late afternoon, I'll be eating egg salad sandwiches. Farts will follow.
 
parenting 101 should be in order and mandated by all states nationwide.. Its the hardest job I've ever had to do, myself personally I don't teach good and bad, but rather right and wrong...

I don't want my kids to think they're "bad" because they did something wrong, they know what they did is wrong they're just being kids.. mischievous as children are....

btw I took the belt to my 11 yo daughter for the first time(more for the fear factor of the belt then spanking ) for stepping out of line and losing complete respect and calling me a hypocrite then afterward telling me she didn't know what it meant.. Its more then that she was completely out of line and going off on her mom and me yada yada, I'm praying it doesn't get any worse in her teenage years, I'll end up in an institution....
