I have the last year of the (Sport) Cherokee body style with the straight 6 and the borg warner transmission, that thing is tough as nails but it does get Complete crap for mileage in the city.
Its actually the 60th anniversary edition one.
 
Hehehe, I figured my jeep rant would stir things up. :D

I don't like the ragtop either:
impossible to stow gear when it's on. Noisy, insecure, can't see out the rear window after awhile.
Taking the top OFF? what a pain in the arse. where do you put the windows? noise, sun on my head, behind my glasses (glare), blowing my hair in my face... blech. don't like convertibles.

The doors come off! Neat, but where do you store them? Another pain. And then rushing to install doors when the rain starts? fergetabboutit. Gotta have an indoor garage for that outdoor vehicle. silly.

Beeridashi May go into production in May, else August. Looks like I'll be traveling a lot the first half of the summer.
reminds, me, gotta go polish some metal.
 
'05 Grand Limited Hemi. Leather, comfy as all getout, will go anywhere, ice cold A/C, and will still do 100+ mph by the top of the entrance ramp. :rolleyes: Who gives a crap if it only gets 9 around town and 14 on the highway?
Biggest drawback is the tiny gas tank.

I remember on Jeepforum when the current models came out there was unanimous wailing and gnashing of teeth at their ugliness. Now that we've gotten used to them they seem normal and even handsome.

Azteks, on the other hand, sank the whole company! :D Even Pontiac dealers used to hide them behind the sales building! :D

Final thought on the matter; I will never get used to the hideousness of this abomination. The distinctive grill is gone, (that's not the Jeep grill, I don't care what they claim) therefore it is not a Jeep. It looks like a mutant bug. Nothing to love from the front.

No, but I was surprised to find out that Phil played first-string QB ahead of Terry Bradshaw. Both were drafted into the NFL, but Phil stayed home to duck hunt.
