alright, so I've spent plenty of time workin with fancy shmansy knife sharpeners and whatnot but i would really like to improve my freehand sharpening skills.

I'm self admittedly a so-so/average free hand sharpener. Basically just working with coarse/fine bench stones from the hardware store.

Anyhoo, i'd like to purchase a nice, quality set of stones that i can sit down with and really work on my freehand technique and abilities. I would like to know if yall have any suggestions on some stones to pick up.

Also, preferably within a poor college students budget :D (less than $75 bucks would be ideal)

I like it a lot so far. Handle is awesome, maybe my favorite.

Slices and carves really well. Also, a 3.5 inch blade that can chop too, lol.

Kinda hefty but good balance too. Blade could be a little pointier in a perfect world.
